Nick Lowe - Little Hitler

On this date in 1978, Nick Lowe released his eighth single, "Little Hitler". It was backed by "Cruel To Be Kind". The A side appeared on his debut U.K. album, Jesus Of Cool, as well as his debut U.S. album, Pure Pop For New People. The B side did not. The B side was re-mixed and released as a single later with much success (#12 U.K.) and that version was included on his second album, Labour Of Lust. Later, on a later CD re-release, the original version of "Cruel To Be Kind" was added to Jesus Of Cool. The power pop singer from Surrey, England, once teamed up with Dave Edmunds in Rockpile, is still performing.
