Monsoon - Shakti (The Meaning Of Within)


On this date in 1982, Monsoon released their second single, "Shakti (The Meaning Of Within)". It was backed by "And I You". The 12 inch version included a dub of "Ever So Lonely". Both tracks from the 7-inch appeared on their debut album, Third Eye. The single reached the #41 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London, England post punk/new wave band disbanded in 1983 after one album and a few singles.
