Blogload UPDATED!!!

From an old P5 post: Dec, 27, 2007

Wikipedia: Topper Headon - "Waking Up is the only solo album by Topper Headon, best known as the drummer of The Clash. The album, released in 1986, was unnoticed and now is mostly forgotten."

More from Wikipedia:
"Headon is commonly recognized as one of the best punk rock drummers of the late 1970s and early '80s. He was kicked out of The Clash due to his growing heroin addiction. Topper was unable to give up drugs and left the band on May 10, 1982, at the beginning of the Combat Rock tour. Original drummer Terry Chimes played drums for the tour."

This album has a great swingin' horn section.

Thought I'd share this cool viddy I saw on uTube:

As a crummy drummer I attest that it was darn near porno to see the rare glimpses of Topper smacking through Rude Boy songs. A 120 lb guy has no business making such a wonderful ruckus. He was precise but still sounded like soul.
