Gang Of Four - Songs Of The Free

On this date in 1982, Gang Of Four released their third full length album, Songs Of The Free. It contained the singles, "Call Me Up" and "I Love A Man In A Uniform" (#65 U.K.). The album reached the #61 spot on the U.K. albums chart. The Leeds, England post punk band slowed down considerably after 1983 but has performed sporadically since then. Original members Dave Allen and Hugo Burnham had rejoined the band a few years ago but left again last year leaving Jon King and Andy Gill to replace them...again.
