Dead Kennedys - Holiday In Cambodia

On this date in 1980, Dead Kennedys released their second single, "Holiday In Cambodia". The B side was "Police Truck". The A side appeared on their debut album, Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables , though it was a different cut than the single version. The B side did not. When the album was re-released on CD in 1999, both sides of the single, as they appeared on the single, were included as bonus tracks. The album is still the largest selling punk album in California history. The San Francisco hardcore punk band disbanded in 1986 after four albums, an EP and several singles. They re-formed in 2001 without frontman Jello Biafra.
