Dalek I - Compass Kum' Pas

On this date in 1980, Dalek I released their debut album, Compass Kum' Pas. It included the singles, "Freedom Fighters", "The World" and "Destiny (Dalek I Love You)". The album reached the #54 spot on the U.K. albums chart. The release was supposed to be under the name Dalek, I Love You but their distribution company changed the name on the release without informing them. At this time, the band included David Hughes of OMD and Alan Gill of The Teardrop Explodes. The Liverpool post punk/new wave band with a constantly changing lineup called it quits in 1990.
