Cuddly Toys - Someone's Crying

On this date in 1981, Cuddly Toys released their third single, "Someone's Crying". It was backed by "Bring On The Ravers". The 12 inch version excluded "Bring On The Ravens" but added "Broken Mirrors" "Slide" and "Dancing Glass". None of these tracks appeared on either of their two albums. The London band used to be called Raped, a non-marketable name to say the least. After a few years they changed their name to Cuddly Toys, shifted towards being a cross-dressing glam punk/new wave act (instead of a pure punk band) and, in the process, alienated their original fans. However, Cuddly Toys was big in Japan. They were done under either name by 1982.
