The Brains

On this date in 1981, The Brains released their self-titled debut album. It included a re-recorded version of "Money Changes Everything", their debut single from 1979. The new version was released as a single again, also today. It's B side, "Girl In A Magazine", was also included on the album. The Atlanta, Georgia new wave/power pop band released three albums and an EP before disbanding in 1982. The biggest claim to fame may be that Cyndi Lauper covered their "Money Changes Everything".
