Television - Marquee Moon

On this date in 1977, Television released their second single, "Marquee Moon". It was the title track from their debut album. Interestingly enough, because of its length, the song was split in two with one half of the song on the A side and the remainder on the B side. The single reached the #30 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The New York City proto punk band disbanded in 1978 but have gotten together a few times since for reunions and to do some recording. Richard Hell (of The Heartbreakers and The Voidoids) was an original member.
