The Records - Rock And Roll Love Letter

On this date in 1979, The Records released their second single, "Rock And Roll Love Letter". It was backed by "Wives And Mothers Of Tomorrow". Neither song was included on their debut album, Shades In Bed, but both were added as bonus tracks when the album was re-released on CD. The 12 inch version included a bonus track. It was a live version of "Starry Eyes". In the U.S., their debut album was simply called The Records and did not include any of these tracks. The London power pop band disbanded in 1982 after three albums. Singer John Wicks tried to recapture the magic under the name John Wicks and The Records and they have released a few albums.
