Joe "King" Carrasco and The Crowns - Party Safari

On this date in 1981, Joe "King" Carrasco and The Crowns released their first EP, Party Safari. It contained the tracks, "Bad Rap", "Gin Baby Gin", "That's The Love" and "Ta U La Ou Va". The first and third tracks appeared on their second album, Synapse Gap (Mundo Total). The other two tracks did not. Prior to this single, the band was known as Joe "King" Carrasco and El Molina and had a heavier focus on Tex-Mex music, no surprise considering his roots in Dumas, Texas. He released music deep into the 90's.
