Japan - The Art Of Parties


On this date in 1981, Japan released their ninth single, "The Art Of Parties". The B side was "Life Without Buildings". The A side appeared on their fifth album, Tin Drum. The B side was a non-LP track. The single reached the #48 spot on the U.K. singles chart. A four track EP also included "The Width Of A Room" and "The Experience Of Swimming", both non-LP tracks. London new wave disbanded in 1982 after five studio albums. Their last live performance? was in Japan.
