Haircut One Hundred - Fantastic Day

|

On this date in 1982, Haircut One Hundred released their third single, "Fantastic Day". It was backed by "Ski Club". The A side appeared on their debut album, Pelican West. The B side was a non-LP track that was added to a later re-release on CD. The single reached the #9 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Kent, England new wave band released two albums (the latter after singer Nick Heyward went on to pursue a solo career) and disbanded in 1984.

the 12 inch version of this is a longer B side called "Ski Club of Great Britain"... it's a good 2 minutes longer and it absolutely kills.
