Gang Of Four - Outside The Trains Don't Run On Time

On this date in 1980, Gang Of Four released its third single, "Outside The Trains Don't Run On Time". It was backed by "He'd Send In The Army". Both songs appeared on their Yellow EP in 1980 and then again on their second full length album, Solid Gold in 1981. The Leeds, England post punk band slowed down considerably after 1983 but has performed sporadically since then. Original members Dave Allen and Hugo Burnham had rejoined the band a few years ago but left again last year leaving Jon King and Andy Gill to replace them...again.
