On this date in 1981, Faction released their debut single, "Faction". It was backed by "Wrong Again". The A side appeared on their self-titled extended EP. The B side was a non-LP track. The Liverpool, England new wave band consisted of John Tuite and Colm Redmond, both members of Pink Military, as well as guest musicians for the sessions (including Pete Wylie of Wah! Heat). The project was over by the end of 1981.
