The Damned - Love Song

On this date in 1979, The Damned released their sixth single, "Love Song". It was backed by "Suicide" and "Noise Noise Noise". Both "Love Song" and "Noise Noise Noise" were included on their third album, Machine Gun Etiquette. "Suicide" was a non-LP track that was included as a bonus track when the album was re-released on CD. The single reached the #20 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The picture sleeve for the single had four variants, one for each member of the band. The one pictured below is the Captain Sensible version. The London punk band, despite several breakups along the way, are still together.
