The Cure - Why Can't I Be You?

In April of 1987, The Cure released their eighteenth single, Why Can't I Be You?. It was backed by "A Japanese Dream". The A side appeared on their seventh album, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me. The B side was a non-LP track. The single reached the #21 spot on the U.K. singles chart and the #54 spot on the U.S. singles chart. The Sussex, England post punk/goth/new wave band continues on with Robert Smith at the helm. He was a part-time member of Siouxsie and The Banshees.
