The Clash - The Magnificent Seven

On this date in 1981, The Clash released their fifteenth single, "The Magnificent Seven". It was backed by "The Magnificent Dance". Although "The Magnificent Seven" appeared on their fourth album, Sandinista! , it was a different version of the song. The B side did not appear on an album until the EP Black Market Clash was expanded to Super Black Market Clash on CD. The single reached the #34 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London punk band disbanded in 1986. Mick Jones formed Big Audio Dynamite. Joe Strummer was involved in many projects until his death in 2002.
