Chelsea - Rockin' Horse

On this date in 1981, Chelsea released their eighth single, "Rockin' Horse". It was backed by "Years Away". Neither appeared on a studio album but both were added as bonuses on their third album, Evacuate, when it was re-released as a CD. The London punk band originally consisted of Gene October, William Broad (Billy Idol), Tony James and John Towe. Within a few weeks, everyone except Gene October bolted to form Generation X. Gene October had to recruit an entire new band. They are still active with Gene October still up front.
