Blondie - Sunday Girl

On this date in 1980, Blondie released their eleventh single, "Sunday Girl". It was backed by "I Know But I Don't Know". Both songs appeared on their third album, Parallel Lines. The 12 inch single also offered a French version of "Sunday Girl" which was a non-LP track. It was added to a later CD re-release of the album. The single was their second to reach the #1 spot on the U.K. singles chart. It did not, however, chart in the U.S. The New York City punk/new wave band were CBGB's regulars. They broke up in 1982 only to re-form in 1998.
