Blondie - (I'm Always Touched By Your) Presence, Dear

On this date in 1978, Blondie released their fifth single, "(I'm Always Touched By Your) Presence Dear". It was backed by "Poet's Problem" and "Detroit 442". The A side and "Detroit 442" were both on their second album, Plastic Letters. "Poet's Problem" was a non-album track but was added to the album as a bonus track when re-released on CD. The single went to the #10 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The New York City punk/new wave band were CBGB's regulars. They broke up in 1982 only to re-form in 1998.
