On this date in 1978, The Weirdos released their second single, "We Got The Neutron Bomb". It was backed by "Solitary Confinement". The Los Angeles punk band did not have an album by the time they disbanded in 1981. They have occasionally reunited to perform and record.

A great book about the early LA punk scene called We Got the Neutron Bomb : The Untold Story of L.A. Punk is still in print and available at the usual book sellers. Great read if you get a chance.
