Ultravox - Slow Motion

On this date in 1981, Ultravox released their third EP, Slow Motion. Aside from the title track, the double 7 inch package also included "Quiet Men", "Hiroshima Mon Amour" and "Dislocation". All four songs were recorded in 1978 and, in fact, the first and fourth tracks were released as a single together that year. All but "Hiroshima Mon Amour" appeared on their third album, Systems Of Romance, while "Hiroshima Mon Amour" was on their second, Ha! Ha! Ha! The EP reached the #33 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London post punk/new wave band lasted until 1987. They re-formed in 1992 and released two albums before shutting it down again in 1996.
