Tears For Fears - The Hurting


On this date in 1983, Tears For Fears released their debut album, The Hurting. It contained the singles, "Mad World" (#3 U.K.), "Pale Shelter" (#5 U.K.), "Change" (#4 U.K., #73 U.S.) and "Suffer The Children". The album reached the #1 spot on the U.K. albums chart and the #73 spot on the U.S. albums chart. The Bath, England new wave band was driven by Curt Smith and Roland Orzabel. Curt left the band in 1990 but returned in 2000. They are still active.
