Steve Diggle - 50 Years Of Comparative Wealth

On this date in 1981, Steve Diggle released his debut solo EP, 50 Years Of Comparative Wealth. It contained the title track plus "Shut Out The Light" and "Here Comes The Fire Brigade (Riot)". None of the tracks appeared on an album. After Buzzcocks disbanded, and shortly after this record, Steve Diggle formed Flag Of Convenience with another ex-Buzzcock, drummer John Maher. When Buzzcocks got together for a reunion tour in 1989, the classic lineup was back. Buzzcocks re-formed for good not long after but Maher left. Diggle and Pete Shelley have kept Buzzcocks going with several new albums.
