Snakefinger - The Model


On this date in 1980, Snakefinger released his third single, "The Model". It was backed by "Talkin' In The Town". The A side appeared on his debut album, Chewing Hides The Sound. The B side was a non-LP track. Snakefinger was actually London post punk musician Philip Charles Lithman. Under the name Snakefinger, he released five studio albums before dying of a heart attack on July 1, 1987. His close association with The Residents were a major influence on them and vice versa. He played for years with them live and contributed in the studio.
