On this date in 1981, Red Cross released their self-titled debut EP (nicknamed the "Annie's Got The Hits" EP). It included "Cover Band", "Annette's Got the Hits", "I Hate My School", "Chlorox Girls", "S&M Party" and "Standing in Front of Poseur". None of the tracks appeared on their debut album, Born Innocent, nor were any of the tracks released as singles. The Los Angeles hardcore band included Steve and Jeff McDonald, Ron Reyes (later in Black Flag) and Greg Hetson (of Circle Jerks' fame as well as Bad Religion). They changed their name to Redd Kross later. The band called it quits in 1997 but re-formed a few years ago with the McDonald brothers still at the helm.
