The Records - Music On Both Sides

On this date in 1982, The Records released their third album, Music On Both Sides. It contained the previously released single, "Imitation Jewellery". Neither the album nor the single had the type of impact that "Starry Eyes" did. That song from their first album was a minor hit in the U.S., peaking at #56. This second album would be their last. The London power pop band broke up in 1982. Singer John Wicks tried to recapture the magic under the name John Wicks and The Records and they have released a few albums.
