The Ramones - Do You Wanna Dance?

On this date in 1978, The Ramones released their seventh single, "Do You Wanna Dance". It was backed by "Cretin Hop" and "It's A Long Way back To Germany". The first two songs appeared on their third album, Rocket To Russia. The third song was a non-LP track that was added as a bonus track when the album was re-released on CD. A second version of the single had "Babysitter" as the B side, the song that originally replaced "Carbona Not Glue" on their second album, Leave Home (before "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker" replaced "Babysitter"). The single reached the #86 spot on the U.S. singles chart. The Queens, NY. punk band hung up their leather jackets in 1996
