Patrik Fitzgerald - All Sewn Up

|

On this date in 1979, Patrik Fitzgerald released his first true single (after 3 EP's). The A side was "All Sewn Up". The B side was "Hammersmith Odeons". Neither track appeared on an album. Patrik Fitzgerald, who once auditioned to be in London SS (the pre-Clash band that featured future Clash memmbers, Mick Jones and Terry Chimes, future Damned guitarist Brian James and future Chelsea, Generation X and Sigue Sigue Sputnik member Tony James) was a London punk poet whose poetry was usually accompanied by his acoustic guitar. He enlisted musicians to assist as necessary. On this record, John Maher of Buzzcocks played drums.
