The Monks - Nice Legs Shame About The Face

On this date in 1979, The Monks released their debut single, "Nice Legs Shame About The Face ". It was backed by "You'll Be The Death Of Me". The A side appeared on their debut album, Bad Habits, though the name was charged to "Nice Legs (Shame About Her Face)". The B side was a non-LP track. The London punk band was the alter-ego of The Strawbs, a progressive rock/glam rock band and was, in fact, Richard Hudson and John Ford of The Strawbs. They released two albums and several singles through 1981.
