Josef K - Chance Meeting

On this date in 1981, Josef K re-released their debut single, "Chance Meeting". It was backed by "Pictures (Of Cindy)". The A side was a re-mixed version of the original release. None of the tracks appeared on their only album (while together). They had first cut an album called Sorry For Laughing but it wasn't released until 1990 because of their dissatisfaction with the results. The Edinburgh, Scotland post-punk band disbanded in 1982. Guitarist Malcolm Ross joined Orange Juice and then Aztec Camera. Drummer Ronnie Torrance joined Boots For Dancing. Vocalist Paul Haig went on to a moderately successful solo career.
