The Happy Family - Puritans


On this date in 1982, The Happy Family released their debut record, an EP called Puritans. It included the title track plus "The Mistake" and "Innermost Thoughts". None of the tracks appeared on an album though they were added when their debut album, The Man On Your Street, was re-released on CD. The Edinburgh, Scotland post punk band was founded by ex-Josef K bassist Dave Weddell. They released one EP and on ealbum before disbanding in 1983. A second album of unreleased tracks was released in 1984.
