The Go-Betweens - I Need Two Heads

On this date in 1980, The Go-Betweens released their third single, "I Need Two Heads" backed by "Stop Before You Say It". This was their first single released outside of their native Australia. In fact, when they went to Scotland to record the single, they didn't bring a drummer. They borrowed Steve Daly from Orange Juice for the recordings. Neither track appeared on an album. The Brisbane, Australia post punk band originally disbanded in 1989. They re-formed in 2000 but hung it up for good in 2006 after the death of founder Grant McLennan.
