Gang Of Four - What We All Want

On this date in 1981, Gang Of Four released their fourth single, "What We All Want". The B side was "History's Bunk!". The A side appeared on their second album, Solid Gold. The B side was a non-LP track that was added as a bonus track when the album was re-released on CD. The Leeds, England post punk band slowed down considerably after 1983 but has performed sporadically since then.

Wow I didn't even know they released a single from Solid Gold, just those two EPs before and after...

Of course this was the natural choice though, considering the rest of the album is just nothing but endless, tuneless thumping rhythms with classic Andy Gill and poltical rants over the top (which is a good thing)

Gang Of Four is one of my personal favorites. I was fortunate enough to see them four times.
