Depeche Mode - People Are People

In March of 1984, Depeche Mode released their tenth single, "People Are People". It was backed by "In Your Memory". The A side appeared on their fourth album. Some Great Reward. The B side was not. The single reached # 4 in the U.K. and #13 in the U.S. It was the first time a Depeche Mode single had charted in the U.S. The B side was "In Your Memory" which was not included on the album until it was re-released in CD form. The Essex, England new wave band still records and performs but they are a trio since Alan Wilder left the band in 1995. Surprisingly, the band has never had a #1 single in the U.K. or the U.S.
