In March of 1982, Cook The Books released their debut single, "Piggie In The Middle Eight". It was backed by "Gone To Black". The A side appeared on their debut album, Outch. The B side did not. The Liverpool, England new wave band did not release another album until 1989 at which time they were simply known as Da Books. They also went through a considerable part of their existence as Cook Da Books. They disbanded in 1998.
