Com-Sat Angels - Red Planet

On this date in 1979, The Comsat Angels released their debut single, "Red Planet". It was backed by "I Get Excited" and "Specimen No. 2". None of the tracks appeared on their 1980 debut album, Waiting For A Miracle. The Sheffield, England post-punk/new wave band changed their name from Com-Sat Angels to The Comsat Angels and then to the C.S. Angels later on due to some pressure from Comsat, the satellite company. They disbanded in 1995. Their bass player was Kevin Bacon. Not that Kevin Bacon.
