British Electric Foundation - Music For Stowaways

On this date in 1981, British Electric Foundation released their debut release, a cassette entitled Music For Stowaways. The Sheffield, England new wave band was formed when Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh split from The Human League. This was their pre-Heaven 17 days and British Electric Foundation was to be a business collective for releasing not only their music but other artists as well. They recruited Glenn Gregory for vocals soon afterwards and Heaven 17 was born.
