Boys Next Door - These Boots Were Made For Walking

On this date in 1978, The Boys Next Door released their debut single, "These Boots Were Made For Walking". It was backed by "Boy Hero". Neither track appeared on an album. Nick Cave and the boys would soon change their name to The Birthday Party. The Melbourne, Australia post-punk band, as The Birthday Party, called it quits in 1983 and frontman Nick Cave formed The Bad Seeds.
