The Boys - Brickfield Nights

On this date in 1978, The Boys released their third single, "Brickfield Nights". It was backed by "Teacher's Pet". The A side appeared on their second album, Alternative Chartbusters. The B side was a non-LP track that was added as a bonus to the album when it was re-released on CD. The London punk/power pop band recorded four albums as The Boys plus one under their holiday alter-ego, The Yobs, before disbanding in 1982. They were not newcomers to the scene as Matt Dangerfield and Casino Steel were both with London SS along with Mick Jones (The Clash), Tony James (Generation X) and Brian James(The Damned) before forming The Boys. The Boys have been performing live again.
