The Birthday Party - Prayers On Fire


On this date in 1981, The Birthday Party released their second album, Prayers On Fire. It contained the single, "Nick The Stripper". The Melbourne, Australia post-punk band originally recorded under the name The Boys Next Door. In fact, their self-titled debut album was originally released under the name The Boys Next Door before being repackaged. The band called it quits in 1983 and frontman Nick Cave formed The Bad Seeds.
