Squeeze - Take Me I'm Yours

On this date in 1978, Squeeze released their debut single, "Take Me I'm Yours". It was backed by "Night Nurse". The A side appeared on their self-titled debut album (called U.K. Squeeze in the U.S.). The B side was a non-LP track. The single reached the #19 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London new wave band called it quits in 1982 but went at it a second time starting in 1985. They broke up again in 1999 but have recently done some touring.
