Sex Pistols - Something Else

On this date in 1979, Sex Pistols released their eighth single, "Something Else". It was backed by "Friggin' In The Riggin'. Ah's been over a year since Johnny Rotten said goodbye to Sex Pistols and exactly three weeks since Sid Vicious died of a heroin overdose and the money machine that Sex Pistols had become just kept rolling along. Both tracks would appear on the movie soundtrack, The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle. Sid Vicious was the singer on the A side. Steve Jones had the lead vocal responsibility on the B side. The single reached the #3 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London punk legends have done reunions on a few occasions since 1978.
