Raybeats - Roping Wild Bears


On this date in 1981, The Raybeats released their debut EP, Roping Wild Bears. It was a four track release that featured "Searching", "The Rise And Fall Of Flingel Bunt", "Tight Turn" and "Tone Zone". When they released their debut album, Guitar Beat, all except "The Rise And Fall Of Flingel Bunt" were included. Raybeats were a New York City surf/instrumental band whose members had roots in The Contortions, The Overtones and 8 Eyed Spy (a group featuring Lydia Lunch). The band broke up in 1984.
