Pearl Harbor and The Explosions

On this date in 1980, Pearl Harbor & The Explosions released their self-titled debut album. It contained the singles, "Drivin'" and "You Got It (Release It)". The new wave band hailed from San Francisco. They lasted one album before their lead singer, Pearl Harbor, changed her name to Pearl Harbour, moved to England and changed her focus to rockabilly. The second album from Pearl Harbour, Don't Follow Me, I'm Lost Too, was credited to her but The Explosions also played on it. She was once married to Paul Simonon of The Clash.
