Nick Lowe - I Love The Sound Of Breaking Glass


On this date in 1978, Nick Lowe released his seventh single, "I Love The Sound Of Breaking Glass". It was backed by "They Called It Rock". The A side appeared on his debut album, Jesus Of Cool. The B side was included as a bonus one-sided 7 inch with the record. Both tracks appeared on his U.S. debut album, Pure Pop For Now People. The single reached the #7 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The power pop singer from Surrey, U.K. was later teamed with Dave Edmunds in Rockpile.
