Magazine - A Song From Under The Floorboards

On this date in 1980, Magazine released their fifth single, "A Song From Under The Floorboards". It was backed by "Twenty Years Ago". The A side appeared on their third album, The Correct Use Of Soap. The B side was a non-LP track. The Manchester, England post punk band, fronted by original Buzzcocks' frontman Howard Devoto, disbanded in 1981 after four studio albums and one live album. Howard Devoto went on to Luxuria, Barry Adamson soon joined Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, and John McGeoch was later in Siouxsie and The Banshees, Visage and Public Image Ltd.
