Hello! My Name Is Blotto. What's Yours?

On this date in 1980, Blotto released their debut EP, Hello! My Name Is Blotto. What's Yours? It was a four track EP that included "I Wanna Be A Lifeguard", "(We Are) The Nowtones", "Stop: In The Name Of Love" and "Bud...Is After Us (Call My Lawyer)". None of the songs appeared on another regular album until 1987's compilation, I Wanna Be A Lifeguard (which included the first two songs from this EP). Like The Ramones, the Albany, New York new wave band were named as if they were brothers (Broadway Blotto, Bowtie Blotto, Sergeant Blotto, Lee Harvey Blotto, Cheese Blotto and Chevrolet Blotto) but really weren't. They disbanded in 1984 but have recently re-formed to perform and work on some recording projects.
