The Feelies - Everybody's Got Something To Hide (Except Me And My Monkey)

On this date in 1980, The Feelies released their second single, "Everybody's Got Something To Hide (Except Me And My Monkey)". It was backed by "Original Love". Both songs appeared on their debut album, Crazy Rhythms. The punk/power pop band originated in New Jersey but made their name in New York City clubs like CBGB's as well as Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey. They disbanded in 1991 after four albums.
